I haven't posted in a while. I waswaiting untill I improved some. Here are some pics of my latest largemouth. Look them over and tell me how I can improve even more. I know I have a shrinkage problem on the pectorial fin base and I want to improve my paint job more, but I think I am coming along. Tear it up.  Grin

tone your antiquing a bit.  antique, but don't antique.  LOL

If that makes any sense.  Spray a warm tie-in color over the antiquing to tone it down before painting.

Keep it up. Your making leaps, and bounds!

Cole's tutorials have helped more than just me I see!!!

Yep, along with Josh's eye painting tutorial. Smiley I'm trying something different on my next bass. I hope it works out. If not, there's always the stripper!

cheeks look over packed to me.Spend more time on repairs like at back of soft dorsal, that can still be fixed easily.Little more time modeling tongue. If you can see form through gullet you might want to cloe it up some. Keep references handy and keep improving

Carl,
Nice work. Really like it. As far as the critique, I agree with tweaking the eye set and the cheek being a touch overfilled. The biggest issue that stands out to me initially though is IMO you have the mouth open too far. Also, a little too much paint on some of the fins, most noticable on the anal. Overall, you did a very nice job. Your markings and vermiculations are nice and subtle. Good job.
