not shure were to post this but i just had a question does a old bobcat mount need any tags with it or not i have a guy that wants to sell me one that he said was his mothers and it has just been sitting around also if anyone is interested in mabe purchasing it he would like for me to try and sell it for him he is suppose to bring it by on sunday so i can take a look at it and tell him what i thenk it might be worth any help would be appreciated thanks

depends on state in which you live and there laws on mounts. before cities not sure after cities it has to have one to sell. it may be as simple as going or calling a officer of the game n fish or whatever there called in your state. they can give you the scoop!

I believe bobkitties are protected in IL, so instead of asking on the web, I'd suggest calling your DNR and finding out for sure.

A CITES tag is required when selling or transferring the hide across a State line or into another country.  Not required necessarily in state. I don't believe they are required once it is mounted.  Either way, there are State laws you must abide by and they vary widely from State to State.  Like the others posted, your best bet it to check with your State's game dept, or a local game warden.  They should be able to guide you.

best bet is tell the guy sell it himself as whatever you stand to make on the deal is not worth anything loosey goosey.  lots a stings going on right now over just this type thing, and other types.  youi can lead a horse to water but you can`t make him drink.........
