 I used to use a zinc sulfate pickle in my fish any one know the recipe

I quit pickling fish hides, I just use a little borax water if anything,

I am new at this but I was taught in school to use denatured alcohol mix it with 50% percent water

Alexm, I've used this formula for years: per 4 gallons of water mix in 2 oz. of glycerine, 8 tsp. of Lysol concentrate, 4 cups salt, 1 cup borax and 1 cup of Zinc Sulphate. You may split the salt boras 50/50 or use all borax in place of salt. Hope this helps! Happy Holidays!!!

I have used a few different recipes and and left them in for various amounts of time and never had a solution lighten fish up. The recipe I use now is similar to Kens.
