I mostly lurk because I am pretty shy amongst so many skilled artists (taxidermists and other artists alike) but I've got two people kindly hounding me to put some of my work up here.  Smiley
I'm still very much learning and I know some of these have errors. I'm very green behind the ears still. Smiley

Drake Bufflehead, acrylic

Pintails, acrylic

Spoonies (Northern Shovelers), acrylic

Hooded Mergansers, acrylic

Blue-winged teal, acrylic

Rio Grande Turkeys, acrylic

Thanks for looking!

Looks to me like some really beautiful work.   My favorite is the pintails, but I'm a sucker for pintails.   I also like the turkeys, the scene reminds me of my favorite time to hunt turkeys...   Right after a cool early morning rain with the fog just starting to burn off.

Turkey one is the best I think.  The others look too much like photographs for me.

Thanks! Yes, these were all painted for competitions for duck stamps (the turkeys were for an upland stamp). I never do very well but I am up against the big names and I'm still a newbie. Smiley
