rick, on this set the repair is a casting off another rack i had ,it is attached to the real antler with steel rods and Fiberglas resin the final detail is done with apoxie sculpt ,i still have to add a g4 point to the repair side per a trail camera pic the customer had of the buck before he broke the antler

How are you guys determining pricing on such in depth reconstructions? I get roughly $50 per tine, but I've never had an inquiry on something that large.

Nice repair I did my first one on a Texas buck that was broken just in front of the g2 with Apoxie sculpt and threaded rod it was a learning experience but fun to do

as far as pricing a repair like this a told the customer $300 i figure i will have around 5 hours in it. if i had to buy the materials specificly for this job i would have charged more, but my son Ben Jones
replicaracks.com
already had all the materials on hand for the molding and casting. i understand what you guys are saying about not have a antler to cast for the repair, out of the hundred deer i took in this season, i only had one that i felt was a close enough match.

Most who do that kind of repair, charge by the inch. Some where in the $10 per inch range, some lower and some higher.

I find that coloring the rack is the hardest part.
