Just got a call from a friend in Kansas. He bagged a Pheasant today that had the head of a rooster and the body(feathers of a hen). Just wondering if this is a common occurence. He saved the bird for me to mount for him.

Sounds like a hermaphrodite. Not sure of the spelling, but they are a bird
that has both male and female sex organs. We see them occasionally here
in North Dakota.

I recently saw a mounted one, head and neck of a rooster, body of a hen, no spurs, tail of a rooster. Pretty neat.
