Well last year I caught a real nice smallie on a jitterbug right as we were starting to leave as it was almost dark. I had never done a smallie mount before so I just went ahead and had it professionally done. I should get back in 3 or 4 months, and want to somehow add the Jitterbug to the mount. It's being mounted on a piece of vertical driftwood, so does anyone have any ideas or have pics of one they did or saw?

Have the taxidermist use a piece of driftwood with a limb sticking out on the same side the fish is facing. Put the jitterbug in its mouth and stretch the fishing line tight to the limb and attach. Or just hang it in his mouth and let it hang.

Here's a pic of a reproduction largemouth bass I did for a friend.  I hung the Rapala vertical then put a drop of super glue on the hook eyes so they would not just hang straight down when the mount was finished.  I then hot glued the rear hook into the bottom of the fish's mouth.  This gave a little more realistic "swimming" look to the lure.

You  could  also  put  the  lure  in  his  mouth  and  like what was said above buy  gluing  it  in  its  mouth  so  it  stays  up  like  that  and  then  tie a line to it  and  take  the  other  end and  take a TAC  and put in up  in  the  ceiling / wall  and  that  would  look good  as well  .  No need  for    driftwood  with  a  extra   branch  on  it  then .
  Just a thought

I'll probably just do that, but has anyone experimented with putting one on a small piece of artificial water and making the ripples?
