Did the Bondo method on a WT deer ear. Well I guess it was not mixed thoroughly enough as still after 2 weeks smells of fiber glass resin. I used the green type with lots of chopped fibers included. Well the smell go away after time or is their a fix??

I have never had the smell linger very long i use the pink and grey bondo that u get in the auto part stores. maybe thats the problem did it set up if you didn't mix it all up it wouldn't set up where it didn't get mixed. I don't know any fixes though I am sorry i would say give it time. thats a real bad smell

That is why I don't mix it in a cup. Mix it on a flat surface, ie. cardboard or the plastic lid that comes on a gallon can.

The smell will go away eventualy. Next time make sure you have a uniform color before you put it in the ear.

What I thought was odd was the resin with chop was green and after the hardener was mixed the whole lot was still green . Normally for smaller animals I use the grey bondo and mix with red hardener and the bondo goes pink. This stuff stayed green . Its called Bondo - Hair (long strand reinforced fiberglass filler).
Happ..
lesson learned Mix on flat surface next time.

You may be right but this stuff was green. It hardened in maybe 10-15 minutes. Will have to do a test tomorrow.

Test completed green and red makes BROWN. Either I did didn't use enough hardener or was not mixed enough. Happ .... mixed a piece of wood and lot better then a cup.
