The Week in Fish Pictures~ Week #25 March 23 2007- March 29 2007

Good Day from Reno NV!!! I’m out visiting my good friend Kevin Libby of Trophy Room Services! Man oh man; Kevin has one of the biggest shops I have ever seen and the work!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!

This week keeping with the whole Nevada theme I’ll feature a Steelhead by Mr. Bill Cooke of Sparks NV! We all remember Bill and his great work. Bill now concentrates on woodcarvings! Super artist for sure!

Week # 25 is upon us. Thanks to everyone who has participated last week! Well Over 2900 hits!!! Huge!!!!!! This is one of the fastest growing if not the fastest growing strings on the forum! It is because you share your talent and knowledge with others in a positive friendly manner! Folks need to see that learning is not about any thing then having fun and appreciating great work! Here’s to all of you!

Last week we had some Great Fish from a lot of giving folks who don't mind sharing and helping others with some inspiration and cool fish!

We had lots of new folks and some folks who haven’t been with us for a while! Welcome and Welcome back! The work this past week was nothing short of breath taking and the artist who shared take a bow for your beautiful efforts!

Each week Pictures can be posted of recent work or work your proud of to show and share with your pears!

Everyone is welcome to post, from beginners to the advanced.

So here goes! I thought I would start out this week with a nice Skin mounted Steelhead from Mr. Bill Cooke! For this weeks kick off!

Have a great week!!!

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and Support!

Here's a project I helped with at our convention several years ago. I just got the pictures from fellow fish taxidermist Randy Budzynski, one of the few in Michigan who has his "Award of Excellence" in fish. Dale Cornete, Mike Orthober and myself (the first two doing the majority) tried to breathe some life back into a flat piece of plastic. It may of had a bit of a curve to the side, I don't remember. This fish had no pec fins, Mike just detailed them in, and the eye is all paint. He is a wizard with his brush.

hey guys, great looking fish! after reading and re reading m.t.s'  post about getting a fish from start to finish overnight i decided to see if i still had what it takes. it actually was only a one sided fish nad it took my 2 nights but i only had about 11 hours in it all together and i think i could have gotten it overnight if my brother hadnt come visiting from richmond, whuich got in the way of the work,  Grin anyway, let me know how you made out m.t. and everyone please tell me what u think of the trout. i think it may be my best ever!

Here is a customer piece I had done a few years ago. Thanks Rick for the in depth discussion about fish anatomy during the M.T.A. show. Next year I'll sure to think "out of the box"!

Wow, some nice fish. Here's my entry for the past Michigan show. Great experience for my first time and look forward to applying the advice I received to make a better showing at the next show.
