Am constructing a river bottom base and was wondering if any place sells good sand for this?

You could probly get all you need at the nearest Beach or River bottom ~  For Free

go to your local gravel or sand quarry they will sell you a bucket usually cheap cheaper then ordering it, they usually have several different kinds. If not best bet s just go to the nearest river bottom or stream and nab some up.

If you could go to a creek or river somewhere like Wildlifer said you can get it for free.

You can get good clean "play" sand at a local lumber company.  Usually not very expensive.

most garden centers cary several types of sand bagged, fine beach, medium, coarse sand with small river gravel, as well as pea gravel, rocks etc, try walmart home depot its clean and ready to go. a 40-50# bag goes along way for 2-3$  paul
