Finally got a light box that works for me, so I've been photographing my skulls.  Here's a few to start off tonight, will add more as I process them.  Unless otherwise stated, I bought them.

(found coyote skull)

i thought some might look familiar, you're a good cleaner HHI!

bmxkid, the dirty coyote is so brittle from being a found skull that i did the minimal work on it.  it's yellowish from the light in the black lid though.  the brown dog, i like how the clay stained it.  and one of the dogs, will get some more work done this summer.  Smiley  everything else was bought cleaned and degreased and the yellowish tint is from my camera i think.  need to adjust the white balance i think.

(i cleaned this chicken, it's missing all the itty bits obviously)

(i cleaned this coyote, it's about 8 1/4"... i never whiten my bones as i like the natural bone-white and yet this one is one of my whitest skulls!  lol)

(natural stain, similar to the brown dog skull... not sure who cut the hole in the head or why but i like it anyway)

(i didn't buy this one, it was gifted to me by the finder)

(group shot of my fave dogs, a few others are still being cleaned)

(i cleaned this goose, got the dead bird from a feed store near my house)

Aw, H.suspectum or H. horridum?
Where did you get it? Needs some degreasing, but they're incredible species!

got some really good stuff there. I like your choice not to whiten, makes for some very unique skulls

Vkvz, I bought it off eBay a while back.  The original owner got it from a zoo.  Not knowing anything else, especially what kind of glue or sealer they slathered on it, I am a bit nervous to treat it for degreasing.  Sad  The grease is trapped under the glue and sealer so that also makes me nervous.

Toxic, I love the natural bone-white colors.  And after 6+months of drying out you can definitely tell what colors are grease and what colors are actually bone-white.  Smiley

i second that its a rabbit. for future reference rabbits always have those things that look like holes on the side of it nose in front of its eyes.
