I have 2 bobcats to mount, one form is too big and needs altered to fit, the other is the right size. I want to make a change out head for the big form from the smaller form rather that cutting the bigger head for width and length. What can I buy locally to make the mold, don't want to order stuff if possible, if i have to order I might as well just order the change out head.  I have the foam already. Any suggestions? Thanks! Doug

Fiberglass resin and cloth. Any auto parts store will have it. Use some type of mold release even though most mannikins have it on them, you don't want to find out the hard way that there wasn't enough on the form. A good automotive paste wax will work or a silicone spray lubricant.

Keep it simple smarty.

Use plaster to make a mold and then pour your foam into the plaster mold. Use paste wax as a mold release.

Or,

Save time and just order the change out head.

I hate to be the a$$ here but won't making a mold and casting from the other form violate copyright laws?

I would say only if you are doing it to reproduce it and sell them yourself. Shouldnt matter if it is for your personal use. JMO....

Personal use yes.  If it was going to hang in your house and not be displayed to potential customers.
If its in the showroom than you are using the copyright infringement to profit.  If you are using it for a customer mount than thats a no-brainer.

I would LOVE to buy a Gary Brusch, Dave Campbell, or lake Country repos and cast them and fill my show room with giant steelhead.

This is similar to a case in the Southern District of Ohio where a sculptor makes casts of anothers work and puts in his advertisments.
That case is still pending
