I once again want to thank and congratulate all those who booked hunts last year and had their hunt of a lifetime at Rack Lake Outfitters. Once again, hunters were very successful, taking moose in the mid 40 inch range with 3 coming in the mid 50's. Rack Lake Lodge is on the Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland. I have helped to book over 45 hunts with this outfitter and ALL have scored with Moose averageing in the mid 40's. This a great opportunity to go yourself with friends or to help your customers book a hunt and bring in some great work to your shop.
The price has been reduced a bit this year to $3500.00 us per hunt. The price includes one guide per hunter, flight into camp from Daniels Harbor, all food for week, camp cook, hunting tag and transportation of game back to Daniels Harbor. This is a permanent camp built from wood with running and hot water, large enough to accommodate all guides and hunters comfortably. Only 4 hunters per week into camp.
Additionally this year, Gideon the owner, has decided to open a new tent camp at Bananna Lake. This site has not seen hunters in the previous 30 years that Gideon has held this government lease. Guide reports from the last few years, is showing it overrun with a high number of very large moose. Gideon is offering this hunt at a one time rate of only $2800.00 US per hunter, before building a permanent camp for next year. This is an awesome price for a great hunt in a new area and includes all the amenities of the hunts Rack Lake Outfitters is known for.
The guy's at Rack Lake are great people and will work hard to make your hunt a success. In the last twelve years that I have known them, they have scored 100% kill rates in more years than not, with moose averaging in the mid 40 inch class. Last season they brought 3 out that went to the mid 50's. The hunt is made completely on foot in some rugged but beautiful country and accommodations can be made for those hunters not able to do a full days trek.
