I got a 7 year old boy who is doing his first mount . A cast of his hand holding a fish . I havent done alot of casting but we used algenate and poured a type of pour a cast material Was just needing any advice to painting the hand the easiest and best way. Thanks for any help Heath

If you want it to look real, here is what I did for this hand. I casted in bondo/resin. I used a little red cream hardener and mostly the white cream hardener. This gave me a flesh look to start with. I then sprayed the whole hand with burnt sienna and then steel wooled it off leaving it in the cracks and pores. I then toned it with a mixture of sahara tan and a few drops of red I believe. I guess you would have to experiment to get the colors you like. I then used candy paynes grey to paint in the veins. I added a few highlights of red on the knuckles and joints Lightly with the burnt sienna and sahara tan. Good luck!.
