Why don't replica companies produce cold water heads with closed mouth?

I am sure you might find some somewhere, but everything I am looking at right now is open mouth Salmon and Steelhead heads.  What are some thoughts on this? I am not criticizing them, I am sincerely wondering why open mouth heads are so prevalent?

I would say from a personal perpective that the huge investment and time to produce a high quality production mold(able to reproduce thousands of blanks) Make the blank manufacturers make molds of the fish they will sell the most of.

You can ask any big blank company thats been around for 20+ years how many molds in thier inventory that they actually use the most and they will all say about 20% of thier molds get used. Also they have many molds that are NEVER used.
Mold makers can get obsessed with making EVERY size fish in every direction and end up with moldas that are never used.

I have said it here before, KEEP IT SIMPLE! I did'nt let my customers make all the decisions. That limited my mold inventory and i let them know what i had that was closest but slightly bigger than thiers.

PS : 22 fathoms Did you still want this steelhead mold?
I pulled it out of my molds i sold last week because you7 wanted it..........
