If you are willing to travel there are some shows and events around the country that you can attend and learn in a hands on atmosphere.  Check out Turtle Fest in Illinois at the Midwest Regional Taxidermy Convention.  You can learn birds, fish and turtles hands on  and there are a lot more classes going on including whitetail and African classes as well.  The cost of the even is only like $500.  You can't buy training like that any where.  Good Luck and hope to see you there.  Dan
