need info

i found a bear skull in the woods of oregon coast yesterday while working. the skull was in bad shape but the two big teeth are in great shape   im in oregon and i do know i can not sell them  so im looking for some body that can make a pair of ear rings out of them  they have to be out of 24 carat gold and for pierced ears. if any body knows some body that can do them or help me out i would like to here from you.   there for the wife for xmas.   thank you ed

My suggestion would be to check with a local jeweler.  I would imagine they would make a gold cap, with a small loop on the top, to fit the flat end of the tooth and then either suspend it from a french wire or a lever back.  It's not too complicated, any jeweler that does custom work should be able to do it for you.  If it were me, I'd keep it fairly simple. You want the tooth to be the main focus.  If you wanted to get really fancy, you could have small stones set down the face of the tooth to add a little color.  Hope this helps. 

There are sites where you can buy jewelry finding in 14k gold, but if you're not familiar with putting this stuff together you can spend a lot of money and still have to take it to a jeweler.
