I am creating my first habitat for pheasant mount. I have seen some with snow. What does everyone use for the snow?

Depends how you plan to protect the scene.
I did a pheasant shown a few threads down under pheasant scene. I bought some snow and the irredecent glitter from WASCO.
But I found that the crystal floral foam at the hooby store is the same stuff. A greater and some hand work and you will have a pile of snow. I mixed mine with diluted elmers glue to a putty consitency. Spread and detailed to my likeing. Added some mixed snow/glitter no glue, pushed into surface and let dry. After a couple days I took a blow dryer and cleaned extra snow and there you have it. A little cleaning by low pressure air seems to be the ticket. I have got 2 years and no yellowing or accumulation of dirt.
If its in a case you could leave on the extra snow to give it a softer look.

how deep is the snow scene you are wanting to create. that video by kelly seibels gives great tips by using the WASCO snow, crystal and cotton batting for layering. good info there
