im going to tan a snake skin and im going to use a 50/50 mix of glycerin and rubbing alcohol. i went to get some today and i didn't know how strong the rubbing alcohol had to be, 50% 70% or 90%. im not sure if those were the exact strength but you get the idea. so what strength should i use. and also were would i find glycerin?

I would suggest some reptile tan (I like Knoblocks) and some softening tanning oil.
