As promised, I show some steps of my gannet (Morus bassanus) skeleton's assembling. Notice that this is a quite large bird so everything can not be used on smaller bird.
First thing : cleaning
The harder part to degrease seems to be fingers and tarsometatarsus. I drilled some holes and put a wire with dish washing liquid on it to clean the inside of the bone and remove the marrow. This really helped.

I assume that all of these bones are from the hyoid but I don't know how to assemble them. So if anyone knows, I would be happy to add it to the skeleton.

Furcula and sternum are fused on him. I have never seen that before.

I use wire and superglue to hold sternal and vertebral ribs. Added coracoid bones too.

I assemble vertebra and vertebral rib using wire in 2 differents positions, no glue here for adjustement later.

Ribcage is finished. It's very important for a good looking bird. I worked a whole day on the ribcage.

Added neck and legs. I forgot to say that it will be a diving gannet, so that explain the position.
