Has anybody ever had luck with preserving a live plant and it staying green if it is submerged/encased in envirotec?

Hobby Lobby usually has it for a good price. Dont know about the preservation.

I used to implant snakes, scorpions,lizards and even photos in envirotex and Used dried natural flowers and plants, but I think the exothermic heat produced as the resin cures will discolor live plants. It gets pretty hot and I think it will litereally cook the plants. Hope this helps!

yes it does, and that makes sense. i was just thinking if it was encased it would seal itself and preserve it as is. Likely not I guess...

The moisture of the plant may also effect it. Also the color or chloraphyl will still be effected by sunlight and time.

Lowes has a product called super glaze in the paint dept. same thing as envirotec. Somewhat cheaper!
