Has anyone had any luck doing this?

The standard rock mix and foam i do not believe will stand up to water, Any ideas out there on what would be a good material to use?

I believe Art Rocks would be your answer or mold and cast your own.

I've done it. Lots of options on what you use or create your own. You got to watch what you seal your paint/rock with - do your homework on that or some tests. I also would use distilled water in the habitat to avoid any issues and a touch of chlorine from time to time.
