I am soaking a large leg bone in store grade peroxide. However within minutes of soaking it the peroxide is already causing the bone to disintegrate. How do people keep bone in water and peroxide for months degreasing and whitening without the bone deteriorating?

Peroxide won't hurt it. Especially the store grade stuff. If it is falling apart, something else has been done to it to ruin the bone.
