Thanks for any help.  Once again, I order a new substance from Research and it comes with no instructions.  Maybe they assume everyone knows what to do with it, but I don't.  All I know is that I am going to try to cast some fins.

Yup just add water...maybe alittle Lysol after you use it to keep the smell stink to a minimum. Also if you get some spots that are soaked bad and just smell pitch the smelly parts.
I mix mine to about a clay consistency. Any questions hit me up.
Good luck with the fins its a blast.

When your finished using it and dont plan on molding anything for a while , just dry it out and add water when your ready to reuse it again . This way it wont get smelly from the fish bateria . Rick

you can freeze it and pull it out when ready to use again.  This way you will not have to mix it again--time is money.

I have a 3 gallon bucket mixture of HI Fiber with two bottles of Lysol added.   I have made many casts with this same mixture for years and it still is not molding.   The last cast made was over a year ago now......I just inspected for this post and it still looks and smells good.

You can also add plaster(10 lbs)  and dextrin (1/4 lb) plus 5 lbs of Hi Fibre and make your own rock compound, base  filler mixture, or use it to plaster over skulsl on the forms before you mount them.   This is called Mache

I also use it to make my own Hide Paste...........15 lbs of Dextrin, 5 lbs of Hi Fibre, some antibacterial agent and hot water.   Mix together well....let sit overnight and enjoy.  If you want some good glue, for african work, add about 4 lbs. of dry potters clay to the mixture.  This will firm up the glue and add a filler that doesn't shrink down when drying.
