I realize that a dead animal is not exactly the best reference, but gray fox extreme close ups seem to be hard to come by. Maybe this will help someone.

Thanks. To me, a winter gray has the prettiest pelt of any animal I've ever seen. I can't think of any animal with as many different colors in its pelt.

Very pretty.  I get a lot of fox each year and they--and bobcat--vary more than almost any other animal I've seen.  They go from much blacker to really red like that one.  They're a pretty animal when mounted correctly.
