Hey i found a dead toad on the side of the road i was wondering if you could mount such an animal and if someone has done it could they please post a tutorial

Toads just won 2 Best in the World titles and the guy that did them I'm sure ain't sharing anything.  I'm not sure if he is on here but he is one talented SOB out of Wisconsin.  I think he has about 5 World Titles now.  I may be wrong but thats my guess.  It can be done but I doubt you find a tutorial on that one.  Good Luck.  Dan

here's one for ya.I'm gonna post pics of this toad that i seen that my mother in law bought at a yard sale.the thing looks like its 100 years .at first i thought it was fake till i seen the thin rods on the bottom of its feet.feels  leathery.pics to come soon.

What about freeze drying?  Would that work on a toad or would the skin get all funky?

I'm curious about this too. I found a really colorful tree frog smashed in my grandparent's door over the summer and am freeze drying it right now. Not sure how it will turn out. The thing was in pretty rough shape when I got him. But I will definitely keep an eye on this thread.

Cane toads are frequently tanned in Australia and mounted or turned into a range of products. Not sure how they do it, but its definately out there
