will a form for a timber rattlesnake work for a northern pacific rattlesnake? how much altering will need do ?

I get the closest form I can get but when you do that the head size is different so I use alginate and cast the head off the snake being used. Head sizes are different from species to species.

Being that the NE timbers have a smaller head than our southern "canebrakes" and most timber forms are sculpted from these, your head on the form is probably gonna be a bit large.  Then again most northern pacifics I have done have not been out of the 30"s so the the head wasn't an issue.  As "redwolf" said you can either cast one or simply grind the form head down with a dremel tool and sand paper. Be sure to measure your NP head before skinning (length X width X depth).
