Buddy of mine brought me a 62" canebrake he killed and all it has is a button. Ill post pics later. Very weird.

Sounds like somebody "snatched" the rattle and he didn't tell you or a predator pulled it off!  You can easily "snap" one back on for a more attractive mount. Wink

Had a good sized Eastern Diamondback once that had a little deformity on the tail and could not have a rattle.  It would shed, and no new segment would catch.

For the mount,  fit on a nice rattle and it will be nice.  62" is a very good canebrake.

I have a a big Eastern now with that same deformity. I have had him for years and the new segment never locks together with the one from the previous shed and he just sheds them both off.
