I seem to be getting quite a few snakes that are slipping pretty bad. Snakes seem to slip a lot easier and faster than mammals. When you get a snake, get it in the freezer ASAP. Keeping them alive until you get to a freezer is ideal, but if you can't, try to keep them cool until you can get them in a freezer.

When shipping snakes, make sure they will stay cold. Wrap them up in house insulation or put them in a box that has been lined with foam insulation or in a cooler. And toss an ice pack or 2 in with it. Even though USPS claims priority will get there in 2 or 3 day's plan on it being longer. They've been dropping the ball quite a bit lately.

If anyone has any other tips PLEASE feel free to add to this.

So true about USPS.  I once had a deer processed in Kansas and shipped to North Carolina.  2-3 days turned into 9.  Also, during those nine days, the temperature went from 20s-30s to 50s-60s.  Good to know about snakes.

Besides the insulated box with an ice pack, I recommend that the buyer pay extra and get FEDEX Overnight shipping.......then there won't be a problem.
Frozen reptiles thaw out faster than other items.
