I noticed others were sharing some of their are work. As I am new to taxidermy and still learning, this is at least a small part I can share until I finish my first mount!

This piece is a handcrafted smudge fan using All Natural/Genuine items including: Greenwing Macaw Parrot Feathers, Timber Wolf Fur, Rattle Snake Skin, Deerskin, and African beads. It also includes a crystal star accent piece.

This fan has a little bit of history behind it as well. The Deerskin fringe is taken from hides worn the first time I was a fire tender for sweat lodge. The parrot feathers are cruelty free, and came from a bird rescue. And last, but certainly not least, the African beads used in the fringe were acquired from African traders living in Gambia who were visiting the states on a 9 day visa to sell goods at the huge Friendship Flea Market which is actually where the snakeskin and wolf fur was also acquired!

Hope you enjoy.

Wado,

Kay Raynewolfe
