I have different molds made from driftwood or rocks and I'm ready to cast them. What is McKenzie's technique of coloring? I really like the look.  Are they coloring
before or after? or is it a secret process?

I don't know the McK process, but I know what I like to do.
I like to spray primer into the mold. I use a base color primer that I think the cast will look best in. When the cast is pulled, it pulls the primer with it. The paint to suit.

I like to use just regular grey primer most of the time.

I'm like Doug , don't know McKenzie's process. You can get white hardner instead of the red when casting with reg. bondo and the cast will come out gray . Then you can do some washes with different paint to get the color you looking for . There is also a green bondo that when using the red hardner will come out a tan color .
