OK, I could use some help!

I have sifted through alot of posts about envoiotex, yes, there were lots of them, but can't quite find what I need.
Just how deep can you make your water look by pouring it 1/8" at a time?
In other words, can you make 8----1/8" pours for a total of 1" deep?
I thought of using plexiglas as others have done but I don't think I could cut it that intricate to go around the driftwood.
Just wondering how deep I can make the envirotex by pouring it 1/8" at a time.

What exactly are you trying to do? Why do you need it that thick? The reason I ask is because if you were to paint the base under the pour the right color, you could actually make it look that deep.

I got two wood ducks on a piece of driftwood. I want them to look as though they are in deep water.
The base is about 1 1/2 inches deep. I want it to look as though the base is clear full of water, not half full.
Kinda like a full cup of coffee versus an half full cup of coffe, if you know what I mean. I want the full, ready to overflow look!

You can do it with plexiglass...You dont have to cut around the plexiglass..Just sit and think about it for a bit...Very simple..Yea...This is a challenge i guess..You can do it...You know how much it will cost ya to pour 1" of envirotex?..That stuff has gone through the roof..

Very easily done using plexiglass. Just hold it up in a coupe of spots with rocks or twigs or roots or whatever you have for habitat, leave it 1/8" lower than you want the finished height, then pour 1/8" of envirotex. Piece of cake!

cut your driftwood in half or were you want the water line . support your p. glass on top of the wood and then set the top part of wood on the p. glass and then make your pour .it will look like the wood is coming up through the water .

Make a pour, let dry, paint black, then add another pour on top....It will give it the "deep" look......

If I paint the base a dull green color will it give the water a murky greenish look or is it better to just go with black?
