Thanks Brian. This morning everything was finally starting to stiffen up so I could control the skin a little more and the clay was more workable so I did some final adjusting. I might do a little more, but for the most part it's where I want it.

is it about like letting a deerskin ''stiffen'' a little before putting final adjustments in it?,,I'd like to try one sometime.

I don't know how Cole or others do it, but that's how I like to do it. I get everything where it needs to be on the first day and as the skin dries it stays where you put it a little better.
You should give one a try. They're a lot of work but they make a pretty impressive mount. When people come to see your work they will be drawn to it and they'll want one. It will open new doors for you.

Here he is. I may do a little more blending with finger paints, but this is where I'm at.

Thank you. I did this one yesterday. It's far from being done.
He'll be part of a scene with an 8 1/2 foot gator swooping down at him.
