Tanning Coral Snake skin
«

I have tanned a good number of these creatures and always have to repaint the color back to its original hue and I was curious if any of you snakeheads had a better method of tanning these to where the color doesn't leave the skin? I have a 42" one to tan and put on felt and I thought I would ask. Any help would be appreciated.

Yellow and red seem to be the 2 colors that fade on every snake I've tanned. I'll have to watch this thread and see if anyone has any suggestions.

the bitterness of poor quality far outweighs the sweetness of low price.

Thanks Mark!! And to think that my bride says, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks!" I am not mounting the snake, just rugging it, but it will work the same. It will be nice not having to paint one.
