Do you not know the word "RESEARCH" or maybe "ARCHIVE" better yet "READ"? Go to the archives and read!

short answer for you. Some say yes and some say no. I say no if the wet tanning is done correctly there is no need for tumbling. Some tanneries do it and some don't.

Chances are a tumbled cape will need dampened to mount, but you should be able to dampen, do your detail work and mount right away, no need to bag and sweat. Tumbler won't help stretch a skin.

I don't see why all these senior so called or experienced taxidermist got to be rude ab the posts that people ask why does it matter if it has been posted before! I would think it would be alot easier to answer a mans ? rather than complain ab it.

its easy to be rude, belligerent, or a smart a$$ when you are not face to face with someone. i have been a full time taxidermist for over 20 yrs. and this site is a cornucopia of self centered i am the best people around. with that said you can find some people who don't mind helping other taxidermist. now true to form, there will be an onslaught of attacks on my statement and that is why i don't spend my time being a keyboard cowboy.

People who are asking questions usually are looking for answers? Buddy I need to check if you are on line not to ask a question that may be archived. Worried about your response. I'm fairly new to taxidermy and still learning tons of stuff to make my mounts and my self better. I asked a taxidermist out of Tucson if he would take a look at one of my mounts and critic it! His response to me was I'm not going to share any secrets with you! Are you kidding me after that I didnt waste my time or gas to go show them a thing. I'm not looking to take your business "Bud" just trying to better myself. Thats it! Remeber J BrownII everyone started just like you a little info at a time don't forget you were there once. Its apparent Wellers forgot this as well.

 Cheesy Happy New Year

You do have to ignore the Ignorant on here.
However there are good people on here.

Have a little thick skin and move on.
Just do not respond to Ignorance
That is the best way to shut them up.

Be well
