Just molded a marten and a bobcat head using plater of paris. My question is, do I need to use a release agent when I pour them with2 part foam?

Yes, you always use a release agent when the molds are a hard type of surface.

Johnsons Paste Wax. in the yellow can works great and it available locally almost everywhere.
