have a lifesize yote skin that is not prime.has nice thick fur but skin on sides is blue.fleshed real easy,salted, pickled and tanned in lutan.Not loosing any hair and seems fine but is still blue and doesn't have much stretch.Will this have any ill effect on mount or should it be OK.just never did one like this and am a little concerned.Thanks for any help..

You won't have a problem. We tan furs from all seasons and the tan is still the same. Prime fur only means the fur is heavy in thickness and not the skin getting thicker or better for mounting. It only pertains to hair thickness. So tan the dog up and have fun mounting it.
