Well, im mounting the head too, but thought id clean then carve the skull. Here she be while it progresses! Scroll on down for the newest pics!!!












NEW Photos! Now everyone can see the fang! De-greasing next, then into the whitener!









New Pictures!!! 2-18 :-) Right before they went into the whitener.







New pictures. 3-17 (2 days till my bday, yay!) Mostly whitened, just a bit in the back of skull a hair dark for the most part...

Thanks. And no, not rubber gloves. :-) Those are very thin cotton. Helps hold some moisture and darkness. Theres usually loads of beetle larvae between them and the heads when I do it that way!

Been in the whitener just a couple of days and already looking great! Man is it gonna be spiffy. Anybody else have any cool ideas for mounting it? I had thought about a base like most euros then have been thinking of something a little different. What does everyone think?

My ideas so far:

tabletop generic euro base with brass id plate
tabletop or wall mount incorporating information for the rarity
driftwood
artistic cedar
photo euro

I have also still considered scrimshaw or carving as an option and doing an appropriate scene. Have a few sketches but none I like yet. And I had considered dipping as an option before noticing she was fanged.
