Thanks for the welcome. The question was about a do it yourself tanning kit I bought at a local sporting goods store. It was from "The Tannery, inc.". Directions were confusing, just wondering if anyone else had used it. But, I called the company and got some answers... Then tried to delete my original post... But it would not let me.

You need to pickle the hide first in a solution of acid/salt/water.
