Mounted a whitetail over a week ago, tanned the hide with Knoblachs liqua tan and used saftee acid for the pickle. This is the same stuff I have used for years and mounts usually dry up within a week. This one acts like it hasn't even started to dry except for around the face and hair is wanting to slip in a couple areas. Air temps in the garage (where the deer is) is around 50 and dry, just put a fan on it last night. Any other suggestions I am hoping to finish this thing by Christmas? Thanks

I like a warmer temp in my shop when I am drying mounts,  I also use fans when in a hurry but typically I like them to dry with out the fan, that said, if I had one that was starting to slip I would definitely use the fan as well as a de-humidifier in the room.

If is is pickled and tanned correctly then it shouldn't be slipping.

If you have had other heads dry under similar environmental conditions than something has had to change with this one.  Different hide paste?  More hide paste?  Lack of tumbling?

Too much salt,  i.e. not rinsed enough, will also cause a hide to retain water.

Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate. They are one and the same...

Re-hydrate! It is an important step.
