After I posted these photos I noticed as to how the pupil "almost" shows in the first photo.  So I cropped out the section around the eye of the deer in the first photo, enlarged it, and then lightened the exposure to contrast pupil and iris.  There has been frequent question as to pupil angle in a browser, so here ya go.
