turkey spur necklace

does anyone know of someone who makes these. I have some legs with some nice spurs that i would like to have made into a nice necklace.

I have made one for my self.   Pretty easy really just cut off leg on either side and poke out the middle and borax them.   Clean um up,  clear coat um and thread some leather lace through them!  Maybe put some fancy beads between them!   Make it as fancy as you like!   Had a guy see mine hangin in the shop and ask "what did those teeth come out of?" Haha. Some people crack me up!

I have made several Turkey spur necklaces, also using a couple turkey claws to balance it out.  I have enclosed a picture of the necklace.
Again, you have the luxury of using any combination of beads you want.  Let me know if you have questions.  I have also made bear claw necklaces.

dhart that one is awesome! Ever thought about how much you charge someone to make one. I have a few leg sets that i would like to get done after this spring as i will have 3 or 4 more sets to add to what i already have.

Mike, You can get all of those beads at a Hobby Lobby or craft store. Take about 10 minutes to put it together once you have the spurs cleaned up.

Mike, as Bruce said, it really is a simple project and one all can do.  You simply clean the spurs, I then put them in borax, you may have to wet them if they are dried out.
The hole left by the marrow that was cleaned out is all you need for stringing the spurs.  I did brush them with some poly urethane.  There are beads available at hobby shops, bead stores.   The front two items on my necklace are turkey claws, I simply added some apoxy on the tops, sanded and air brushed.  The epoxy gives you something to drill into.  You can just use spurs, its up to you.
