Just got back from a sea duck hunt, and going to try some water scenes. Flyaway tax has AWESOME water scenes, dont know If i can do that well. What kind of product should it start with??? Water stuff from hobby lobby doesnt seem to set up as fast.

Polytranspar artificial water from WASCO.  Buy only what you think you will need for each project, because it has a short shelf-life (~6 mos).  Store it in a cool, dry place.

Be careful to use exactly the right amount of hardner, if you put too much in the resin will turn yellow.

Theres much better products out there now. Polyester resins will soon be obsolete for water effects. One to play with is Crystal Clear from Smooth-on. It has a fast cure, no odor and since its a urethane you can spritz or stir water in it for some different effects.

I would love to experiment with this, but at well over £30 a one kg kit(£46 was one quote  Shocked ) I have been putting off, I suppose I will have to bite the bullet and give it a go !
 I hope you USA guys can get it a lot cheaper.
