Jeez.. I'd say you're only limited by your imagination for these hock skins.. some use them for decoration, mainly American Indians.. Some use them for conversation pieces. Some add them to full mounted animals I guess.. I haven't done any of that! You could make a musket ball bag and even use the bag itself for a weapon! These dew claws could be pretty wicked.

 I hung a strap around one and used it for a cellphone pouch. I stitched some together and my daughter made off with it for a playing card holder. I made a little decorative bag with a couple and some buckskin that I brain tanned.

I have worked on these for quite some time softening them and well they're getting much better if I don't say so myself! They've been a bit of a challenge to soften perfectly Cheesy.
This is about the total of all the items I've made with them to date.. skinned and worked on a LOT more that never made it to fruition. I'll keep at it.





This must have been some of the first hock skins I skinned.. still attached to the deer skin.. dew claws on the outside, stiff as all get out.

Looks like some real heavy deerskin. Need to make MORE.
