I have a wild boar that i killed and wanted to mount. It has a wound on his neck that is somewhat fresh. He may have got it a week or so before i shot it. I was wanting to keep that wound if at all possible. Is there anything special i need to do to it or do i just tan it like normal?

LOL I wish some would go away when tanned but it seems the ones you'd like to not show end up the most visible. Tan as usual. When mounted you'll need to color it appropriately.
