OK, here are my tanks. The square one is from an old upright freezer. The other one is a rubbermaid type watering tub.
Looking forward to seeing other set ups. I have been thinking about making one out of plywood and line it with rubber roofing material. Has anyone tried this material? I was considering coating with fiberglass but found out it wont stand the heat. Turns some what soft.
RD- sounds like sometime finding the correct teeth could be a little fun at times. What about the nasal bone? My luck would be to have ALL the teeth come out and boy what a puzzle that could be!
Keep the photos coming.
Thanks everyone.

Hey Gramps, Thanks for the photos! I became a pro at teeth a long time ago. I rarely lose one but it does happen. Usually small bobcats. No problems with the nasals at all. Nice setup!

Rd where can i get an amish bath tub like that?
Michael, after talking with you today I did a head count. I may have been a little off. I currently have 72 heads degreasing with a moose, antelope, wolf, bear and 6 deer just pulled and either drying or whitening. Hard to keep up with just how many I do until about June/July and just count the sheets of the Log Book.

Tank #1 drained to show how much room a 2 1/2 year old bull bison takes up.

RD, is that green tank with the bison just a rubbermaid tote with the sides that flex?
I'm loving this thread! Does anyone want to talk about insulating options? Pics are always nice
Here's my VERY small set-up...
You can see my reason for wanting a bigger tank. I only do skulls for myself.

Temps, close....Dawn, less in Tank #1, I estimate close to the same in the rest.

What brands of tanks does everyone use? Some of these look like rubbermaids and I can't believe that- I have had HORRIBLE luck with rubbermaids lol.
RD and skinandbone, what kind of heating elements do you currently run?
I am so in awe over everyone's set ups. My own set up is very very redneck- buckets, lots of them, and a 70gallon trough, out in my field. In the fall and winter they all get emptied and stacked in my workshop, lol.

That is a heavy plastic stock tank. They also make ovals. I have tried a few different types. I am liking the 50 gallon rubbermaid.
I started out using old ice chests and dumping the solution twice a day to keep it hot. They worked better than buckets being that they are insulated and larger.
As far as insulation goes I am going to use spray foam and build frames. GREAT STUFF has a professional gun and the can foam that is far better than the old disposable cans that are sold at the DIY stores. I already have the gun that I use for adhesive. Guns sell for around 50.00.

Grygon, you can see my explanation on the first page of this conversation. I use hot water heat exchange.
