Anyone ever have a yote chew a snare cable in two? I have some snares set and checked them today and had a snare chewed in two with quite a bit of blood on the ground and tree surrounding the area. Dont know what to make of it.

Thats what happened Bryan. Check them more often. The bloods from cutting their tongue while chewing the cable.

That makes sense, Bill. Never even thought of the tongue.... Duh!    cant check them more often than I did. I check them  twice a day right at sun up and right before dark. I only have 3 set. This snare was checked yesterday at 730a yesterday , nothing and at 5pm snare was broke, so it happened in the daytime.

That is the right size. Are you using locking snares or do you have to use cable restraints?

I thought it may have been 1/16". Not many can pull that off consistently.
