Doesn't make a difference whether they've been cleaned by beetles or maceration, put a completed skull done by each method next to each other and there will be no difference at all :]

Here is whats going home this week with the exception of a grizz and a couple of big cats on the sealing table. My favorite buck of the week is the second picture. I even turned off the flash on a snowy afternoon but the darn thing is just too white! grin

Your bucks are a lot differant  antler wise than ours down here. I tried to change up my background, used blue like GUUS does in his. the sheet seemed to make the plaques look better but did nothing for the skulls. just need a better camera I guess.

Yea, we have all kinds of antlers up here depending on the which mountain range they come from. This mulie was a litte odd anyway.

I just don't have time to play indoors with the camera.

If I were shooting for an album or webb page I might take a little more time.

Nice to see, impressive how you guys can produce such an amount in a short time! Toxic, did you use a flash? Try to make a picture without while the camera stands on a tripod or something, see if that gets the skulls better. Great work!

I was using a tripod, indirect lighting, no flash. Will try a differant camera  with tthe same set up next time
