OK so if tanning is the best way to handle the skins ... Why aren't more people useing "Krowtann" is the mess associated with it?.... "Auto Tanner" shure seems to cut the cost down while doing a good job?.... Sending the hides out return with good results but cost is high and turn around is 3-8 months?

Krowtan has it pros and cons and it's been covered here way to much to bring it up again. Auto tanning is fine but now they found out the pressure does nothing but the turning in the drum does the work so that's a waste of money in my opinion. Tanning in just a vat or sink does the same but it takes overnight to do it and I'm in no rush so that works out just fine for me. As for the tanneries and the wait well that can be cured by simply paying upfront and getting them back in 45 days with wet tans. They take that long for the drying process and most folks aren't in a hurry when they send them.
So just do what works best for your shop. Not all folks are in a rush just those who have nothing to do LOL.

EZ 100 is an awesome tan. It produces really stretchy hides.
