I have a beaver to case skin for display. (The guy doesn't want a round) The customer wants the tail left attached. Can I skin this guy out and somehow skin out the tail but leave it attached to the hide? The ones I've done I removed the tail and didn't use them. Would it be OK to skin the tail out from underneath, maybe, and flesh and salt it like I normally would? I used artificial tails in the ones I've done and never worked with one so that is why I have these questions. I can't see why it wouldn't be OK, I'm just looking for some reassurance on a new task. Any tips or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Yes you can skin the tail out, skin it on the underside, it is a little time consuming, be careful when skinning around the tail as not to cut though the skin of the tail easily done, I have done several and they tan up pretty good. Treat the tail like you would any skin.
